Spirituals from the Mississippi River
Featuring Denise Gordon (U.K) and the Opera-Jazz Trio
In this unique production for the New Orleans in Tel Aviv jazz festival a trio of Israeli opera singers will join soul singer Denise Gordon in performing the great black spirituals and soul songs such as Keep Your Hand On The Plow, Let my People Go, Amazing Grace, Joshua Fit The Battle of Jericho, as well as hits by Paul Robson and Mahalia Jackson – such as Sweet Chariot and Ride On Moses.
