Petite Fleur was the "hit" for Sidney Bechet, who composed the piece in 1952 while already living in Paris. Bechet, born 1892, is considered one of the greatest jazz players of the first half of the 20th century. Petite Fleur, the piece most associated with him, will be presented to the guests of the New Orleans in Tel Aviv jazz festival by Olivier Franc, considered Bechet's successor, and his band. Franc's sensitivity to Bechet's unique vibrato sound is the perfect way to appreciate the trademark sound of Sidney Bechet.
